Hull Children’s Trust

The role of Hull Children's Trust

Hull Children's Trust is continually working to create a family friendly city where no child is left behind and where every child and young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We are a local partnership which brings together organisations responsible for services for children, young people and families in Hull, with a commitment to improving their lives.

The Hull Children’s Trust Board tackle the three issues we believe are of particular importance for our children, young people and families. They are -

  • improving attainment, achievement and employability
  • reducing health inequalities
  • keeping children safe and families supported

Hull Children’s Trust partners

Although we are led by Hull City Council, we involve and work closely with other local organisations, some of whom are legally required to be part of the Trust. They include -

  • Humberside Police Authority
  • NHS Hull
  • Youth Offending Service
  • Connexions
  • Humberside Fire and Rescues Service
  • Local schools
  • Third sector organisations

We work together to help children and young people in Hull -

  • be healthy
  • stay safe
  • enjoy life
  • achieve their full potential
  • achieve economic wellbeing
  • make a positive contribution

Hull Children's Trust helps to develop local strategies for improving children and young people's lives by delivering better services through joint planning and commissioning of services.

We focus on particular issues and on new ways of working. We help organisations across Hull work together to deliver better and more efficient services for children, young people and their families.

Children and Young People’s Plan

We use our joint strategic needs assessment to focus on a number of key priorities, which are set out in the Children and Young People's Plan for Hull.
